Slafkovsky isn’t going to return us a high pick in this draft, so that out there idea is not worth exploring. Caufield is probably the most valuable commodity we could use in a trade to acquire more firsts. Montreal and Edmonton are saving money with those trades to help them resign more valuable players.

Why would you move Caufield to acquire more firsts...? That's so counterintuitive. Just build around him, Suzuki, and Ghule. You have tons of good, young prospects in your system. This is making your team worse.
