Description
According to The Athletics draft pick value chart, the price to move from 5 to 2 would be the 19th overall pick.

Should MTL give FLA 2023 1st to move up 3 spot and draft Fantilli? And would the other team do it?

In a normal year yes, this year I don’t see it, a lot probably also depends on who gets the 1 through 5 picks. But everybody in that range probably still looking for that one player to hang a franchise on. Probably some crazy deals going down pre and at draft this year. Lots of teams keen to move up and or join the first round

If a team makes that mistake, absolutely.

Theres no way any team does this. You could maybe do it if a team has a high opinion of Michkov and you have third overall but doubt that happens

It entirely depends on the team at number 2. A team planning to draft a defenseman, I could see do it. Chicago, definitely wont do it. CBJ, no way. San Jose, nope.

If Arizona gets number 2, this trade is plausible. They already moved up last draft in the 1st rnd with the Sharks pick at 11OA from 27OA. Armstrong seems open to everything. They are looking at Reinbacher, hard! Getting the number 2 pick from 5-6 would also already be gravy so getting more assets they can flip would make sense.

I feel Arizona would almost be silly not to draft Reinbacher to be honest. They have so much forward talent in their system but not a whole lot on the back end.
