Description
Lou move up to Hockey Operations. Isles hire new young GM.

Bailey retires when management informs him he will not be on the big club roster, that he would be in Bridgeport for his last year.
Clutterbuck retires when management informs him he would only be an extra on the big club roster.

Isles move their Captain in Lee as new GM tries to bring in more youth and speed to the lineup. This is what happens year 1 of the new regime.

  2. Lee, Anders ($3,500,000 retained)
  3. 2024 2nd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Lee play on Bedard line, big net present. Will give protect and more room for Bedard in the offensive zone. Lee scores over 25 easy on Bedard's line. Isles pay 50% of Lee's contract. Plus Chicago gets a 24 yr old 6'4 220 LW/C to help with rebuild.
2.
LAK
  1. Aho, Sebastian
  2. Holmström, Simon
  3. 2025 2nd round pick (NYI)
  4. 2025 4th round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Iafallo has 1 yr left on $4M deal. Isles give up young promising Holmstrom (cheap), Aho good puck moving LD and 2 additional draft picks. This helps LA save some cap space. Plus players like Turcotte, Laferriere and Madden in minors should get a hard look to make club.

Iafallo has TWO seasons left on his deal, which makes him a little more appealing to you. Nevertheless, that's an odd package for him. I think we'd be satisfied with your 2024 second, Samuel Bolduc (at 27, Aho is a little mature for us and probably doesn't have Bolduc's upside) and your 2023 fourth; Holmstrom isn't necessary either on value or fit, in my opinion, because we have an excess of forwards and forward prospects and an Arvidsson-like return is sufficient for Iafallo. (Of course, I'd prefer your 2023 second but having given up your 2023 first and 2023 third, I don't see how you can do that.)

Thanks for your comments. My bad, I thought he had 1 year left. I don't think I'd give up Bolduc - He's a big body young Dman with a good shot. Would you do Holmstrom, Salo and a 2nd in 2025. Like you said, Lou ready screwed us by moving most of our top picks.

Thats a pretty bad Lee trade. Paying a 2nd to only dump half his contract. Dumping Bailey makes way more sense

The CHI trade is Horrific for NYI. He may not have had his best year last year but he still put up 28 goals.

Hawks probably accept that with no retention on Lee. He seems like a great guy to help mentor Bedard, and he's still a pretty good player.
