Figuring out prices for trade pieces

both guys could be had for very cheap or free. I am not sure if UPL is waiver exempt or not. If not, he could be a waiver claim.
Yamamato didn't play up to his contract this past year in my mind. He is a player that may need upgrading on the Oilers and his cap hip will go the other way. I can see him being had for free or for very little.

Sabres probably aren't going to trade UPL without a good goalie to help Levi coming back.

I don't disagree about goalies values, upl has shown enough to say he is, uneven. If good goalies are usually worth a second, upl wouldn't have crazy trade value. Having said that, I have doubts that adams will try to bring in a vet goalie, with comrie, upl, and Levi all under contract. What will likely happen is Levi will get the 1A spot and upl will get the 1B spot. They will try to sell the fans on some "new core" garbage or some such nonsense. And if adams actually upgrades the bottom 3 on defense, maybe it's enough to make some noise. Or we will keep rolling out jokiharju, Lyubushkin, stillman/Bryson, we will get caved in- in our own end, and the goalies will be exposed on a regular basis.
