Gotta think the Hawks decline. Jones probably doesn't waive for Toronto anyway, but can't see the Hawks retaining on Jones for 7 years when Marner may walk after 2.

Hahahah Leafs easily decline. Not in a million years would we take Seth Jones even at 50%. Hawks are stuck with him

CHI declines. They aren't going to stick a fork in the rebuild to add Marner who is likely to walk in two years. They also aren't likely to give up a first round pick for any reason. There is zero desperation to move Raddysh or Jones. Contrary to popular belief, Jones is a good defenseman, and he will be even better as the team gets better. The problem was never Jones himself, it was that we were supposed to be entering a rebuild when Bowman suddenly sold the farm to add Jones and then gave him a gigantic contract. But, if they can't recoup on him in a trade, he will just play out the rest of his contract in CHI, and hopefully CHI will be good again while he is still here.
