At this point I don't see the Hawks sending any picks away without better picks coming back. There's no point in helping other teams fix their own cap problems.

Number of teams I think this would work with. Chose Chicago due to our previous trade with them at the deadline…to reacquire our 3rd in this draft, send a solid vet in Miller to help them fill out their D core for next season

Wrong team, Chicago doesn't need older vets and certainly won't be paying for them with valuable draft picks

Colin Miller isn't worth a 3rd to anyone let alone a rebuilding team.

As stated above, Miller is fetching that return, especially from Chicago. You’re better off looking for teams that need some defensive depth and/or may need to get to the cap floor.

Also rolling into next year with essentially the exact same defense we had is not ideal. The right side of that blue line above is going to get caved in by a lot of teams. Need to find a way to improve on the blue line.

I’d also be absolutely floored if Stankoven didn’t start the year in Dallas. With how well Johnston played this year and the fact that Dallas is likely to spend money on defense, they’re going to need cheap forwards that can play top-9 roles.
