Description
These trades help all teams involved.

For Montreal, this trade helps bolster the right side of their defense and also gives them a little cap space.

For Edmonton, they get some scoring depth that has team control and should not cost much to retain. They also get rid of a contract that has not produced the results needed for a team trying to win the cup.

For Dallas, they get rid of a bad contract in Suter who has two more years on his contract and add more scoring depth in Roslovic with 1mil retained. It is only a one year contract so Dallas isn’t on the hook long term for a long term contract. They also receive a young RHD to help bolster the prospect depth at defense.

The Jackets get a player in Suter who can help mentor a young defenseman in Jiricek, while both get sheltered minutes allowing Peeke to play a more prominent role pairing with Provarov. They also receive a young C to help strengthen this team’s C depth for the future.

In the Montreal trade, the Jackets get Dvorak who helps give them some depth this year and next while the Jackets develop Stankoven and Carlsson. Also get a late 1st to keep building the prospect pipeline.

In the Edmonton trade the Jackets get a 2nd round pick and pick up the Foegele contract. Foegele hasn’t lived up to expectations In Edmonton but I think it could help him to go to Columbus.

Now as far as the Suter trade, of course, he would have to waive his NMC.

Foegele just had a good year had 13 goals 15 apples if you put in Yamamoto I would maybe do that but not for foegele. Even then the oilers don't need anymore LD

I would do Dvorak and Habs second for Peeke, not interested in Boqvist at all

Honestly I would still do the trade (I would just make one minor adjustment with adding Desharnais and maybe the Jackets send back a 4th or smth) I just wanted to comment on how Foegele has been great regardless, he's an awesome depth piece and has a great motor. He is a perfect 3rd liner but sadly Edmonton just doesn't have the cap

I wouldn't do any of these trades for the Jackets.

1. Montreal doesn't need cap space
2. Dvorak still has value and probably only a 2nd or 3rd less than Boqvist, so we won't be adding a 1st
