Boston already has a solid top 3 D signed on long term deals. They believe they have an heir to the 2LD who will be ready in '24 when Gryz leaves.

I know a bunch of Bruins fans on here seem to want Hannafin, but practically speaking it makes no sense from a cap perspective unless we ship out another one of our top 3 D.

No from Winnipeg. Backlund and Mangiapane don't waive for Winnipeg and the Jets don't want an older rental or bad contract in return.

The only way you get remotely that much for Lindholm from anyone is if he comes extended, and Columbus would probably be wary of the amount of term an extended Lindholm would carry considering how many young players will need raises in the coming years. This feels like a deal that would've happened already if it was going to.
