Canes have no desire to take on Petry. Certainly won’t be paying to take on your cap dump. Same is likely to go for Anaheim.

Canucks pass. If we move Boeser I doubt we bring in another winger in the trade, especially an older one with a long term contract. Carter is of no interest as well

That's brain dead. Petry is not Carter or Granlund. He's maybe overpaid by a million. Still produces at 1D rates and is not the defensive liability of Karlsson. Dubas would be an idiot to make this deal.
