I know Habs fans are all bonerfied by trading Petry with 50% but if this was offered, I would take it in a heartbeat.

Doubt Chicago is interested though. Only way they could spin this was if they added Zaitsev or something. But then MTL wouldn't accept.

Petry is definitely worth the asking price to the right team but Chicago is not that team.

How do you suppose that you get paid to take on his full contract but then immediately flip him for positive value? ...and you aren't even retaining... If Petry could be moved at his full cap hit for positive value, PIT would've done it.
