Canucks decline. The last thing they need is more wingers, especially if it costs multiple 1sts to add said winger. Buchnevich simply doesn’t make any sense for them. Management was also clear that they drafted Willander because they view him as a partner for Hughes for 5+ years, he’s completely off limits in any trade talks.

Bortuzzo/Bertuzzi close enough. As a B's fans, we'll take it.

Buch is great, but the Canucks aren’t trading Willander

Definitely not a fan of that Buch trade. Just all wrong pieces coming back.

The Canucks trade is atrocious from a Vancouver perspective. A blue-chip right-handed defence prospect, a potential first-round pick, and a top-six winger for a slightly older, better (by not significant enough) winger?

I may be bias, but based on team need, and positional value, I wouldn't even trade Willander for Buch at this point if I'm Vancouver. They need young cheap defensemen, particularly righties.
