Hawks decline. Those players (even retained) do nothing for the Hawks in the future (when they get competitive) without a sweetner attached to them and only diminish the value of their draft picks by making them marginally better in the present. Only way Hawks are taking a player like either of those is by getting paid to.

Hawks aren’t giving up picks for players right now, bottom line.
I haven’t talked to him ever(unlike some posters seem too) but doubt Kane is signing for that little, regardless of how many performance insensitives might be built in.

Hawks decline. They don't need either one of those guys. Although if Edmonton is retaining half, Holland should have no problem finding a trade partner for both of them.

you kind of just made the team worse
Ceci > lyub
kulak is a very effective 3LD and is still better than broberg
foegele is also a good 3rd liner but he just has no finish hopefully lavoie can help with that
Kane is not the same player he used to be, He's a defensive liability who needs to carry the puck to be effective which would hinder 97 and 29's game.

also lavoie doesn't play C and hasn't played there in a long time, putting him there now in the NHL would just be a recipe for disaster

Everyone's already covered the big stuff. But here's one thought as you're thinking of deals . . . that swap of 4th round picks doesn't make sense. Who, at this point, has a clue about which team--NYR or EDM--will have the better pick? Usually you swap picks to give a clear benefit to one team ("Hey, we'll give you this guy if you'll trade us your 3rd for 4th")
