Description

Risky deal for WPG, but blues shed the parayko contract while the jets clean up their defence and PK. Blues get very solid pieces in lucius, 1st, and chisholm, but also take the schmidt contract for the next two years and retain some on parayko. If the retention is too much, I would consider dropping it 500K. So 1M per year. I do think this addresses needs for both teams: the jets get a true partner for Morrissey or heinola now and long term, and the blues shed some cap and get younger (after one year of schmidt)

Can't really expect a team to use up a retention slot for 7 years without massively overpaying. Retention slots are expensive.

Can't see the Blues retaining on Parayko or him waiving, make an ACGM of the Jets acquiring R.Andersson, he doesn't have trade protection sooo...

NEWSFLASH TO ALL: The Blues have zero desire to "shed Parayko's contract". He's a good player playing well and his contract is fine. You guys really should try watching hockey instead of bouncing around the echo chamber of the ignorant.

Your offer would not even get that retention from the Blues, let alone Parayko and Sunny.

St. Louis is not retaining on Parayko, and Winnipeg shouldn't be giving up Lucius for a guy whose contract will be bought out before it expires.
