Very interesting . Sens could use a decent prospect that probably won’t ever have room to play in Buffalo and Buffalo gets a nice upgrade on 3 LD who can play both sides

Don’t love those trades at all
And you have 6 LH defensemen in the lineup
That’s less than ideal & clearly not what we want

Eating 2 more years of Clifton's deal requires an asset.

Clifton would fill a need for next season. Veteran 3rd pair RD. And if he had just one year left instead of two, Hawks would probably accept. But with two years left, Clifton probably takes a pick attached to move to Chicago.

I think you're being generous, the only one that I would consider is jokiharju, but that's after the Sabres go get a defensive right d for the second pair. Wonder if anybody has 6 softer d? I don't have a problem moving Rosen, but we already have undersized forwards. No, not moving Wahlberg. moving Clifton is fine, if you get two grown men to play defense. I know it's been 13 years since the Sabres made the playoffs, the Sabres need to be much better defensively and much more open to a physical game.
