Drury and picks have no value to Buffalo. What Buffalo wants has been repeated ad nauseam, theirs no way around it. Even logically why would Buffalo trade a center for a lesser center instead of just resigning Mittelstadt, makes no sense. They have replacements for him in their prospect pool already they don't need a center coming back at all

Can't imagine Sabres trade Mitts to Carolina unless Morrow is part of the package coming back.

I can see it being Pesce instead of Morrow (assuming an extension is part of the deal)... I don't see Morrow being dealt for Mitts

I don't think anyone outside of Hurricanes fans would think that. Beyond age, competitive windows and value, its illogical to think Pesce would agree to forgo free agency to sign with a team that's not making the playoffs and current highest scoring forward.

I just don't get why Buffalo thinks they are gonna get a blue chip prospect for a 2C. I think he might consider signing with Buffalo considering he'd probably get first pairing minutes in Buffalo. I think the age concern is a little overblown with Pesce... Pesce plays a very technically sound game that will age well
