Nucks trade is interesting and provides a solid alternative for Guentzel, but idk if Harrison is a good enough prospect(I’d look for an equivalent to Hunter Brzstewic).

I think the Vancouver trade could work. At 800k less than Lindholm Vancouver could keep DeBrusk and trade for a 50% retained Guentzel and be under the cap.
I'd ask for Merkulov as well if I was Vancouver, this would be a trade made before the one with Pitt and if Vancouver sends non NHL ready prospects to Pitt they'd need a guy like Merkulov with strong AHL stats to fill out the roster for the end of season

Yeah, obviously I’d want to keep him, but the fact that he’s getting scratched for Barrie just makes me feel that extension negotiations might not go that well.
