No chance Staios trades futures for rentals and bottom-6 forwards at the deadline, unless he wants to be Dorion 2.0 and suck at his job

Pick players on waivers, sign college free agents, get a player in trade for salary purposes… then in the offseason, make more trades, sign UFAs but trading these picks and Brannstrom like that is not what they should do

It is also not really enticing to give the 2 most valuable pieces

Not really sure why the canes do either. Sure with adding 3 forwards it pushes them down the lineup a bit but i can't see the canes possibly trading their captain, alternate captian and another important depth piece in Fast this close to the playoffs.
