CHI declines. I'd rather see how Dach progresses. Barron is the only interesting piece there. Tuch isn't that good and is benefitting heavily from playing with Celebrini for most of the season. Ylonen has been a disappointment. And CHI doesn't have enough gritty power forward types in their system right now, aside from Dach.

I don't know, Gents; if I'm CHI I'd likely do this. Yes, Dach has some grit lacking in the Hawks' system, but Sammy Savoie and the newly arrived Slaggart may be able to help with that. Plus, it's easier, IMO, to acquire a gritty 3rd line F in general, than...

...an interesting RHD propect who could become a Top 4 defenseman (like Barron). We have VERY few RD prospects in our system now (and Rinzel is likely 3 years away, at least). While I like Crevier, I don't think he's projected as a possible Top 4 RD.

Tuch and Ylonen may not be exciting, but I'd be willing to see if they get more interesting in a year or two while our recently drafted Fs progress through our system.

Staying healthy is always a concern, and Dach is somewhat of a concern in that regard, as well.

Reasonable minds can disagree... This is just the way I lean on this trade.
