Description
I would hold off on the buyout at least for another year personally.

Jarvis could be an alternate offer sheet target

Bruins make some sense as an option for Laine, strong culture there and could be a fit to play with Marchand/Coyle, retention brings him to a similar cap hit as Debrusk

Respectfully, that is a massive overpayment for Jenner.

We are not doing that

No, I would not buy out Elvis. The penalty is the worst in 2026-27 at $2,925,000, when cap space will be extremely critical.

Offer sheets do not happen, and if they did, Raymond is a poor choice at that cost.

It's a fine offer for Jenner, but what do more futures do for an org who's already in the top three in pools heading into this draft? Cheap, useful, actually good vets like Jenner are more important at this stage than more futures.

Negative chance that Boston would ever entertain acquiring Laine, even for peanuts. He is the polar opposite of every organizational philosophy the Bruins have or have ever had.

Quite the lopsided Buffalo trade...next to zero chance they consider that one.
