Description

I will try to predict a few things I think the Hawks will do this offseason.

1. Take out bad contracts in order to acquire some assets.
One team that comes in mind if Philadelphia and Johansen. The guy went from being trade at 50% for virtually nothing. Then gets trade again in the same year to liberate some money and he doesn't even play on his new team and gets send down in the ahl.
The other player I have targeted is Anderson. Again Mtl isn't in need to move him, but if they can they should. They have good young guys coming up and Anderson takes a spot for one of them.
2. Sign a ufa defenseman to play in their top 4.
I have target here Brodie. His best days are gone, but he's not finished yet. He should take off some pressure of Korchinski who's their future top d-man.

2 possible moves out of 4 isn't terrible. Hakanpaa and Ryjo are possibilities. No chance the Hawks target Brodie, and definitely not for 3 years. And nice Anderson trade (from a Habs fan!). Hawks refuse that offer instantly. That contract takes at least a 1st to move. Maybe more.
