Krejci unlikely to waive for Canes no matter how good they become. If Aho proves capable of playing center they don’t really need him. Staal/Rask/Necas/Wallmark and handrul of prospects make them deeper than most teams think. If Aho and Necas are top 6 centers they are set. If not there is FA to consider. They can fill it without surrendering an asset.

a bunch of AHL players and 2 second round picks aren't going to get you a servicable defense man who can play a bottom 4 position.

Just like krug isn't going to get you Nugent-Hopkins,

Stop over valuing your players. They aren't good simply because they are on boston.

I'm not even a huge Maatta fan, I think he's slow as hell. But they did win back to back cups with him on the ice in a second line pairing against a lot of really good teams. So that tells you something about his value. Even if he's had a slow start to the year. Now if you would like to take JJ off our hands, I'd except the two 2nd round picks and you can keep your AHL players, we don't want them.
