Just guessing, but i'd guess he is thinking along the lines of:
Laine is a 1 dimensional superstar (on pace for 61 goals, 70 points showing he has little else to offer but his goalscoring ability).
Rantenen is on a hot streak and will cool off. The heights that people are talking about him are overblown.
I don't have a clue about Tkachuk. Maybe being touted as one of Ottawa's saviours?
Boeser not having as good a year compared to how he was talked about last year.

I am not sure I see what OP has outside of these things if he wants to make that point.

Laine, Rantanen, and Boeser dont drive play and are bad defensively, especially the 1st two, and ive seen a lot of people say they are top 5 RWs. Tkachuk because he is riding a crazy PDO bender while being carried by Stone, people are saying he should be the Calder front runner but thats just gross.
