I don't understand the point of trading Simon, who is a possession beast at just about 55% with over 110 game sample size for only a 4th rounder plus he's on a cheap contract yet you keep AHL darlings Wison (Wilson has 2 assists in 68 NHL games. He should never see NHL action again) and Grant and the dinosaur Cullen and fringe player Aston-Reese. All 4 players are way worse than Simon. Not very smart smart asset management.

OTT don't need Brassard? Have you seen their center line? They need all the help they can get. Brassard would be their 1st center next year. Assuming they sign him as part of the deal.

Okay let me rephrase that...
Ottawa does not need 2 months of brassard. That would be a waste. If he resigns sure, that’s one thing, but I highly doubt he’d consider resigning there unless they overpay; which we all know melnyk won’t do
