Hello Ricochetii, I read one of your posts and I was wondering if I could post some of my research about it in the general thread. Is that okay with you?

Not sure what you're referring to, but as long as it's within game etiquette so you don't get in trouble, I'd say go for it.
You shouldn't be evaluating/trashing other teams/players for example. I love having player debates personally, but I try to refrain from it in game unless it is about my own players.
Without knowing what you're referring to, I can't tell you whether you should, only that it wouldn't bother me (within reason wink).

I'm working through a bunch of things and doing some research but the goal is to basically prove how what you suggested about everyone thinking a 1st round is going to be a 1st liner and a 2nd round is basically almost one is the wrong type of view for them to have because it doesn't really happen that way. I believe my results thus far are very fair and very good but need some polishing as well as further work, but then I'll post something in the general thread and link it to a google doc if I can figure how to upload something to that. I've never tried it, but I'm sure it's not that hard and I have a Gmail account so if I need to log in to do that I'm all set. I just wanted to make sure you were okay with it because you were basically the inspiration for me to actually dig into the data and wrap my head around it to see the amount of your truthfulness. (I knew you were right, but not to what degree) If I can do this right the results should be rather eye opening as the Data I already possess is pretty good and I can work on this until I feel it's finished.

By all means. That doesn't break any etiquette as it's just general information available to anyone with the time and desire to check. I applaud the initiative and would be interested to see what you come up with. smile

Thanks for having the courtesy to check with me anyway, though I don't feel it was necessary in this case. Good luck!

Back in 2015, the Flames traded Sven Baertschi to the Canucks for the pick that became Rasmus Andersson.

Accordingly... care to "undo that trade"? (I think I know the answer, but it never hurts to ask.)

No thanks. Not interested in moving him for futures.
Like I said before, it would take someone like Buchnevich (before he got concussed).

Also, what was the reason why you're not interested in Budaj again? (He did make it through waivers fyi)

Also, what was the reason why you're not interested in Budaj again? (He did make it through waivers fyi)

He'd be low on my list of considerations. I could have just claimed him, for free so wouldn't really give up anything for him. If I get that low in targets, perhaps I'll reconsider.

Okie. If you get that low, I'll take a mere 7th for him.

I'd trade Piccinich if you want to write it up

Might have to wait until later since I only have one trade left, but that would be fine for me once my main roster is set or next month comes.

I'd give you 2018 5th (PIT) for Zach Fucale if you're interested.

Also Nilsson and Reimer are both available for quite cheap if either of them interests you.

I can't handle Reimer's contract even at 50%, but I'll take the rest into consideration. Won't be any time soon as I have higher priorities and only 1 trade left for the month.

If you want a 2/3 goalie upgrade, does Anders Lindback fit the bill for you? Best served as a #3 goalie, but can backup if need be. He'd only cost a late rounder.

No thanks. Maybe if he gets some NHL games in and looks good.

Are you interested in obtaining cap dump depth or trading it away? I have the masterful Matt Beleskey available for let's say a 3rd round pick..... that I pay you to take him. 2019 Boston 3rd. Let me know what you think.

He's not a rental, I have around $3M-$4M to spare this season, which I'll use if someone needs space and we can work something out, but I need it off my books next season. Might want to check with rebuilding teams.

                          @ricochetii ,

If you intend to commit to signing a UFA in the initial UFA signing period, please contact me via my gm game email at bjorkstrand28@gmail.com (or twitter if desired) so the negotiations process can begin. There will be a second period to sign your UFAs later on, so if you aren’t sure who you want to sign you can wait until the later period to extend the player. Remember that 2 UFAs and/or a maximum of 11 million dollars of AAV can be spent on directly extending your unrestricted free agents. The deadline to make any contracts for this initial signing period official is February 16, so let me know when/if you’re ready to begin discussions.

                          Thanks,
Matt59, BOE FA representative for the Atlantic Division

Thanks for checking. I don't have any key UFA's, so I'll be waiting for the next window. Likely only minor signings if nothing changes by then, but I have no more trades this month at least, so I can confirm I won't be signing anyone right now.
