These trades are pretty bad but still not as bad as your hockey knowledge if you think Barrie is worth that much, and if you think a 20 year old is a bust. That is just plain idiotic

barrie is still worth more than gallagher

barrie has over 0.80 points per game as a defensemen this year (3rd in the NHL) while gallagher has less than 0.50 points per game over the last 2 seasons combined (i know hes more defensive but still). plus on top of that gallagher is a winger which is the least valuable position

he isnt a complete bust but i wouldnt say juulsen is developing fine, hes a bit behind schedule, hes almost 21 and not very effective in the AHL

over 0.80 points per game as a defensemen (3rd in the league behind klingberg and burns) is worth a lot. drouin is a struggling winger and his value is low. also defensemen are worth more than wingers in general

Lehkonen is a top 6 talent. He's getting a few chances per game and that 2.4 S% is guaranteed to go up. 18G at 21 is no joke. And Juuslen still projects as a top 4 on most radars.

LA needs a RD not a LD. They don’t have a decent Right handed shot behind Doughty. Getting Barrie would be able to move Martinez back to his left side and Forbert out of the top 4.
