There is a reason the Pens got rid of Orpik. He is your problem now. Terrible deal. Pens don’t even have cap space for this deal.

Penguins wouldn't part with Sheary for what would be their 9th best d-man on a terrible contract. Orpik has negative value because you'd have to pay us in 1sts or really good prospects to get us to take back that contract and Chiasson would not be a good fit here either.

But Orpik's contract only has 5.5 million left after this year. Sheary's has 6. So Chiasson's just a salary dump to even things out. But he'd still score more than 30 points a year if he played with Crosby.

Sheary is having an offseason but he is still a good player lmao Orpik has NEGATIVE value and pens simply aren’t going to give sheary away. Highest even strength PPG in the league last year. He’s a good player having a bad year. Terrible deal for pit
