Right now, Subban's value is at its lowest. Still with his contract and I think currently the 4th highest salary in the league, he is almost not tradable. Some long hard thinking needed needed over the summer.

Lol Come on guys he's not going anywhere. Don't let the media cloud your judgement.

With that said, I would make this trade simply because the difference between Eller and Duchene is greater than the difference between Subban and Barrie. Habs downgrade a little on defense but upgrade in a big way on offense. Vice versa for Col.

Wayyyyyy too high from the Avs. Especially if they have to take Eller's bad contract back.

Lots of way too much for PK comments haha but come on guys if he really on the market, montreal wouldn't be giving him away for a rebuild package, they want the cup too. PK is probably one of the biggest stars in the league and arguably in most peoples Top 7-8 Dmen in the league. Dutch and Barrie are great, but they dont rank as highly as PK in terms to their position and impact.

I would hate to see them go, but PK is a beast, have to give up a lot to pry him away. In a homer way I would love to see Galchenyuk or gallagher instead of Eller but I dont see Mtl ever parting with those 2 in a package with PK if he really was on the market

I'm not in the PK camp. He's a great player and of course you want him on your team, but the cost is going to be too high, and that massive contract will make it hard to build depth, even if he is worth every dollar. That said, I don't think the value of that trade is too far off.

That could very well be his value but thats not the point really. The point is, where is there fair value that still makes sense for the Avs. A deal that is both fair and makes sense for the Avs is Rantanen, 1st, Barrie for Subban. All this Duchene and Eller business is sort of nonsense that overcomplicates the deal, clouds value, and just doesnt make sense for Colorado.
