That’s a serious overpayment for Galchenyuk. I admit he’s good and probably just needs a change of scenery but if you finish top of the east and don’t win the cup this trade starts to look very good for Montreal.

JT Miller? You don't know the rules of RFA.

WOW. . . . .That's some wild Sunday afternoon "stuff"! I love the guy but 5 games and 1 point not likely getting Johnsson an 8 year deal! (More like 2 x $1M) IMO Leafs might look to move Gardiner, but I really doubt they would have any interest in dealing with Montreal for Galchenyuk, and not good use of the cap space! JT. miller doesn't make any sense either. I think Toronto if they decide to not move Nylander into the middle will look to sign an aging veteran to a 1 year deal, prior to signing all of their kids for 19/20 and then assess the UFA market which is loaded at that point! That could go right in the toilet if they change direction and make an offer for Tavares. Mac's been a great back up but if moved holds little to no value, beyond a single 6th or 7th.

McEllhiney value is off, Miller is an RFA, and Liljegren won't be playing top pairing defense next year.

He has a really good save percentage, especially for a 34 year old...

^this, though. Or Arizona. Unless Washington makes all the crazy trades I keep seeing on here, in which case they've traded three excellent goalies for two future #1 centers and a #1 defenseman by the draft, and need a backup for Cam Ward. Then, by all means, McElhinney, but not for two thirds and a fourth. Maybe one third and two fourths, at the most. cheers
