When the prices come down? Don't understand why I need to trade someone with slightly less production + a prospect drafted 7th overall + 2 2nds for a top 6 wing...

Not completely sure i understand what you're saying. Is this about Eberle? Are you saying you don't want to give up a 3rd and a 5th? The price isn't dropping from a 3rd and a 5th for Smith 750K retained.

Just curious why the Eberle deal would need to happen for the Smith deal to happen. You're giving up picks in both deals, so why would you only give up picks in one deal if you're giving up picks in another?

By obtaining Eberle I would give up Danault... so I lose my 3C... Smith fills that 3C void. Then I wouldn't be able to afford everyone + my signings next year so then Bouwmeester was traded away with a 3rd for a 7th...

1 deal turns into 3... hopefully makes my team strong enough to be a low lottery chance pick.

Riley Nash is still available if you can sign him or if you can wait until I can trade him after signing him myself. If you have a deal you want to do but then need a 3C he’s a really good option because of his great defensive play.

I could take 3x 2nds and glendening @50% along with another ahl contract, but I don’t value those 2 as anything and glendening at full price I’d have to be paid to take. I don’t view him as better than my other 4th liners who make less than 50% his salary.

I also have Vatrano kicking around who scored 5 goals in 16 games once he got a fresh start. I think that comes out to 23 or 24 goalsif he kept that pace up for a full season. Not a bad value for what I’m asking for him. A 2018 3rd rounder.

If you bought all 3 you’d have a potentially good 3rd line. Vatrano (sniper) nash (defensive twf) Spooner (playmaker). I don’t think we got to see them play together but it looks like a fit to me.

I can freeze Spooner nash and Vatrano for 24 hours if you want to see if you can get picks for glendening and Danault and then trade the picks + ahlers to me.

Neither of them fit on my team, so I have no interest in taking them on.
