Yup Toronto would absolutely send 2 better players to Buffalo to help out a terribly managed divisional opponent.

Nylander is astronomically more valuable that Ristolienen and the gulf between Dermott and Gergenson is even wider. Plus draft picks? You aren't even in the same sport let alone the same ball park. Try those two players and a 1st for Nylander.

Sabres really don’t need any more LHD and your trading their only consistent RHD for one

i am fine with moving ristolainen for a return like this, but there needs to be a rhd coming back to replace those minutes. i would not put buffalo's 19 first on the table for faulk, which makes the whole thing fall apart. i would not move ror to montreal for that return- its entirely futures, so its back to square 1, moving ror for a rhd to replace ristolainens minutes. i have seen ror for parayko mentioned a few times, which is great for buffalo. if the net return for ror and risto is nylander and parayko, im in. so the only other trade mentioned here would be lehner for pulock which i think the isles turn down without hesitation.

Try Risto being more valuable than Nylander. A quality RHD that can play top line minutes and chip in quality points and be a PP specialist is super valuable.

Toronto has 2 defencemen on the left side who outscored Risto. He has very little value for TO, he's a talented offensive defencemen who can't play defence in his own zone. TO wouldn't pass on a guy who very well could end up scoring a point a game for years to come. That makes no sense. Especially when they could get Tyler Myers (Jets) or Chris Tanev (Canucks) for much less and those guys are players TO actually needs. RHD who can defend, skate well and still move the puck.

Ristolainen wouldn't even get PP time in TO which would cut his point production in half at least. He will get Buffalo a big return, just not from Toronto. Send him to someone desperate like Edmonton.

You have so much inter-division trading. It's like all these teams just play for the fun of it. There is no way that either your Toronto or Montreal trades come to fruition.

OMW not even close, I would do that trade as a Sabre without question, hoping that Dubas was drunk when he called and really meant Nylander, Ristolainen, R. and Girgensons, Z. for Marleau laugh

Five stars for trading O'Reilly

Risto is more valuable than nylander. But nothing in here works. And if you want to win now, why trade your starting goaltender who is better than the guy you sign?
