You would think you'd sign your young stud stars prior to going after a 34 year old winger, a 29 year old goalie, and a 32 year old defensemen...

Kenny Holland is stuck back in 2008.

I don't mind signing bernier right away. when howards up next year hes the guy till a younger option comes along. but sign aa mantha and larkin and if there is money left go nuts. Take care of the guys who are part of the future.

It's really not hard to understand. There is no sense in rushing kids who aren't ready. Svechnikov could barely score in the AHL last year. He's not ready for the NHL. Zadina is 18, yes he could probably be ok if he started in the NHL, but again there is no rush. Zadina can play in the AHL this year (since he was loaned to Halifax from his Czech club he's not bound by the CHL draft rule) which is a great place for him. Higher competition than junior but not all the pressure of the NHL. Another year of development for him will be huge.

Rasmussen and Hronek will make the team, and add to the core of Larkin, Mantha, AA with Svech, Zadina, Cholowski ready to jump in next year and guys like Veleno, Berggren and McIsaac in 2 years

Wings really don't have much choice this year with their limited cap space. Hope Bernier plays well. Then trade Vanek at TDL as the Wings will be a non playoff team.

Wasn't there rumours that some big contracts might retire? Should drop the cap a lot if true

Lol okay. Not a lot of our guys are ready and we will get Larkin and Mantha done. There is all summer to make trades. Relax.

Zetterberg is having back problems and Kronwall may be hanging them up as well.

We lost 27 one goal games... Vanek the past 2 seasons alone almost makes up for that. Lol
