    The Girard and Debrincat thing feels more like urban legends now hat habs fans keep telling themselves. Is there any proof of this or just highsight post rationale talk

    This whole Shaw/Debrincat thing on here is getting a little old. GMs trade 2nd-7th round picks all the time. You can do this "retrade" for every single team in the NHL and make the GM look like he lost the trade.

    Listen Stan, this team actually has a low track record of drafting Quebecois players these past 20 years so stop with the perpetuating a stereotype. Its borderline in nature and irritating.

    As for the truth of what MTL does do, giving professional & amateur tryouts to players born here is simply for the PR and rarely effects the on ice product. The players that do play here like Desharnais earned it.
