Avs 1st, 2nd, Timmins and Kerfoot thats way way too much for Stone. Not happening. That is 1 high end piece too much. Drop the 1st if you get both guys and the 2nd, or you drop 1 of Kerfoot or Timmins if the draft picks are in the trade

Come on man just give him this one. Colorado is going to take the trade because #1 Stone is a very good addition to this squad and #2 its going to only increase their chances of getting 1OA in this year's draft.

Ottawa makes these moves and they won't win 20 games, then Colorado has the best chances of getting 1OA, this is a win win for them.

Avs arent going to over pay and do the Sens a favour giving them 2 picks, one of their best young D prospects and a good young fwd. Its 1 piece too much

This is all at the deadline, or at least deadline week. Ottawa's season will be 2/3rds done by then.

Meier/Hertl comes back in a Duchene trade.
Dallas would not be sending 2 D for Karlsson. Take out Lindell and replace with a middle six forward

Way to much for Avs and Dallas to give up for Stone and Karlsson rentals. With Thornton retiring San Jose might be nice play for Duchene to land in 2019.

San Jose wouldn't do that. They would be willing to do this because it's like the Kane trade last year where Duchene can fill a long term need. I should have been more specific, I meant that the pick is a conditional 2nd that becomes a first if the sharks resign him.
Good point on Dallas. I will change the Dallas trade to make it more positionally balanced. Thanks for the feedback!

The amended Avs trade isn't bad. Not sure about the second becoming a first though. The Avs won't overpay for Stone and I think two firsts will be an overpayment still.

You wouldn't upgrade so that you could have Stone for another 8 years?

Two firsts could be two future Stones, and the Avs are still a very young team whose window is further ahead. I'd probably make the trade at the current value without the proviso for the second becoming a first.
