I've got a clue dude! My point is anyone can bolt. You are using an incorrect stereotype dude! I'm sorry you are wrong but if you cannot admit it, you can continue to act like a child! Please dude stop, your embarrassing yourself! More NA prospects have bolted to Russia then Russian prospects in NA.

As I said...name some big NA prospects that have bolted to the KHL before they became nobodies...

If you don't think Russians are more inclined to bolt to the KHL then you are an idiot, sorry but it's true.

Zach Boychuk was Carolina's top goalscorer when he saw the Dollar signs and bolted. Russians aren't more likely to bolt. Everyone has the same choice of bolting to the KHL. If you do't wanna admit that they your an idiot.

Did nothing but be a top scorer on an NHL team! Bah that isn't nothing! If you say it is you clearly do not know hockey and I am done wasting my time on you so either try again with some sort of intelligence in your statement or please let me go back to enjoying my day @DirtyDangles

@Caniac2000

When did Zack Boychuk lead any NHL team in scoring? He played 127 NHL games over like 7 seasons with a career total of 30 points, he didn't even hold an NHL roster spot for a whole year never mind lead a team in scoring. Also I'm pretty sure he was waived by 3 different teams in one season... probably a good reason to go try your luck in the KHL

Caniac, you may be technically right but that is a consolation prize in this debate.

The fact is 99.9% of non russion born players leave to the KHL before the age of 23 and by that time those players have shown an incapability to crack an NHL team. So yeah its technically a possibility but do we really need to have this debate?

" Young Russians do this all the time"

Radulov
Nichushkin
Lyubimov
Slepyshev
Yakupov
etc.

Yes, some of these guys bolted because they weren't good enough for the NHL but others did it for the $$.
Then there are young Russians that decide to stay and play in Russia instead of coming to the NHL team that drafted them.

If at this point you still think the likelihood of a NA born young player going to the KHL is equal to that of a Russian then there is no point in talking to you about this.

Radulov was 10 years ago, Slepyshev and Yakupov didn't earn NHL contracts, lyubimov was never drafted, signed a 1-year contract and fulfilled it. So you have 1 guy in 10 years who probably could have played NHL and decided to go home. I'd say the risk of Kostin "bolting" - or any young Russian pursuing an NHL career - is pretty close to nil.

Whatever you say bud. Everyone knows that when you draft a Russian, there is a chance that they will decide to play in the KHL over the NHL.

Of course there's a chance. But there's also a chance that your pick won't sign and he'll re-enter the draft, too - and that happens with Canadian and American kids all the time. Besides, we aren't talking about a draft pick here, we're talking about a kid who was drafted a year ago, signed immediately and came to North America to play at his 1st opportunity. Not the same thing at all.

So don't go pulling the "Russian-bolting-to-KHL" card here. It isn't warranted.

You know who else signed before bolting to the KHL...Radulov and Nichuskin. They played out their elc and then bye bye. All this is moot anyways because Farabee is better.
