I think these deals make Colorado worse. Switch out the Columbus return for Panarin but add the Colorado 2019 1st going to Columbus.

Problem with that is Panarin potentially leaving the following year for nothing. Then you lose a season of Barrie and a first plus Nieto & Kamenev and a 4th for zip, diddly squat! At least Jenner is tied up long term and can win face-offs as a #2/3 centre. Anderson is a RFA at the end of his contract so is controlled and gives the Avs some physicality. Barrie & Kerfoot put up 100 points between them versus 68 for Carlo, Jenner & Anderson but I'd expect to see Carlo improve from 6 points (plus Girard will get more ice time to replace Barrie), and given extra ice time and assuming some chemistry with Calvert I'd expect Jenner and Anderson's totals to improve as well. The PK would also likely improve even more.

I dont mind the Columbus trade but I don't see Boston giving up Carlo anytime soon

B’s decline. You could keep Martin and Warsofsky. No interest in them. Carlo for Kerfoot. Fair value. But the RD is more important to B’s. They have plenty of young forwards.

Yeah I felt that would be the case and agree the value is about right. Do you think adding a right D prospect such as Meloche would make it fly?

Yeah that is more of a 'hopeful' trade. I think the value is fair but it would take an overpayment to get Carlo.

And you absolutely have to have a contract extension for Breadman in that deal
