His value is way more than any team is willing to pay.

Don’t @ me but I wouldnt 1v1 Wilson for nylander. What he brings doesn’t show up on the scoresheet but he’s the 4th most important forward on the team

Caps ought to cut him loose now, while they can. Next head shot he takes, he will be riding pine for 40. And he will take one, he just can’t help himself.

I mean should the jets cut buff ?and while we are at it should the bruins cut Marchand? I understand where you are coming from but Wilson is way to valuable to the caps. As a franchise you got to hope he doesn’t mess up in the next 2 years. The top line looks like **** without him. They can’t find a player that fits properly.

Yeah I get that; which is why I want him on the Devils. They seem to be missing a spark and physicality and Wilson fits that, plus think Wilson would be a good compliment to Hall/Hischer on the top line.

Palmieri is physical and gritty too, and he can actually score

Maybe it is just me but I cannot stand all these 5'10"- 5'11" players all under 190lbs: Bratt, Seney, Anderson, Dea, Coleman, Greene, Vatanen, and Butcher. The Devils just seem to get pushed around during games. I am not saying go get 6 Cam janssens but get 1 or 2 more bigger physical players outside of Boyle, Wood, and Santini. Or is that just me?

Your hate blinds you. He’s actually very good and if you watch the caps they are struggling to find a good fit on the top line. Either way penguins fans are the last fan base to answer this question. Haha

He’s might be as close to an untouchable as you get in dc. Kuzy and ovi aren’t nearly as good as they can b without him. Most of the people will make stupid comments on him but players like him aren’t very common.

.75 Ppg in the playoffs? Wilson last year lastbhalf of the season actually got top line minutes so maybe wait till this season is over to say “actually score” ha

If Wilson plays 82 games with ovi and kuzy he’s put up 50-60 points. He should finish with 40-45 this year.

I can admit good players when I see one. Wilson is solid. hes a 30-40 point 3rd liner who had a great cup run. hes literally Bryan bickell 2.0.
to say you'd rather have him over Nylander is ludicrous.
he also takes STUPID penalties and costs the caps alot of Penalty kills

Not at all. Wilson complements our top line and brings a skill set nylander wouldnt. Also nylander has 60 points with Matthews I doubt he pumps out 70 playing w eller /beagle 50 games like wilson did

I'd say 6th, the way Oshie and Eller put it together in the playoffs, but it's a very good team, and it's not doing awesome without him this fall. He leads returning Caps forwards in shtoi. They're having a rough time without him and Beagle. Since Orpik's been injured they're 0-2-0 with 4 PPG against. Add in how well he got pucks out of corners for Kuznetsov, and his give and gos with Ovechkin, letting Backstrom and Oshie play second line? They've just auditioned a half dozen wings in that spot and given up. Can't afford to move Wilson.

But then you add in Burakovsky, a 23 year old with 50 goals and 120 pts?

That'll be Butcher, Zacha, Kinkaid, and Wood, please.

....to say nothing of Nylander's assists to Kadri or JVR. He's a 20 goal wing who switched around with four linemates last year, three of whom scored 30 goals, as expected, and are doing fine this year without him.

Ovechkin and Kuznetsov's line just got broken up, because without Wilson, they lose the puck and don't get it back. Matthews has 1.5ppg this season, without Nylander. Wilson for Nylander wouldn't be the right fit for Washington. Burakovsky, if the salary cap math leads to more long term stability, to resign Backstrom and Holtby in a couple years, they could trade for Nylander.

Wilson's value is like sentimental value, it isn't measurable, it is meaningless to anyone else. Like the way your grandmother values an old photo album. Or like a nick-nack that someone important gave you when you were little... it has $0 actual value, but you would kick a puppy to keep it safe. His fan value massively outweighs his value on the ice. He is a 3rd liner (yes, even though he plays on the top line) that is right behind Ovechkin for fan favorite.

In Pens terms... Talbot+Dupuis = Wilson.

I mean since being in the top line he has .75ppg. That’s .15 more than nylander. Haha oh yeah he scored 3 less points and 4 fewer games than Crosby did when he won the conn this last playoffs. But what do I know I have an avatar of Wilson fighting. Tell me how nylander helped his team hoist

So Guentzel is a 3rd liner w little value unless he’s with Sid then?

Guentzel = dsp or Connelly

Um, yes. Maybe not "little" but considerably less when not with Crosby. That is quite obvious when watching him. Which is also why his value to the Penguins is higher than his value to any other team.

A bit more than them because Guentzel does actually have the skill to deliver when with good players. DSP and Connelly don't.

Oh, okay. Let me know when I am supposed to be upset by being realistic and not a homer.

He had a fantastic playoffs and I'm not saying he doesnt hold a high value to this team but you are clearly biased. Only basing something off a 21 game sample when he has 400 games played and not assuming that playing with that top line is what made him relevant on the score sheet. Ovechkin and Kuznetsov get theirs and make others better around them. Saying Wilson is untouchable and going on a million other rants about him is basically showing me I was correct.

If Wilson isn’t valuable why is kuzy and ovi line broken up without him? I could go on but this should prove my point
