Description
so your telling me this works?
Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Koppanen, Joona
  2. Senyshyn, Zach
  3. 2019 2nd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Accordingly, a 2nd, seny, wagner (or not wagner) should work. Might as well save wagner for koppanen.
2.
BOS
  1. Panarin, Artemi ($1,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
one year retainment, not really much of a deal.
CBJ
  1. Backes, David ($1,500,000 retained)
  2. Cehlárik, Peter
  3. Heinen, Danton
  4. 2019 1st round pick (BOS)
  5. 2020 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Backes should waive that NMC for the top team in Metro. Its a lot of value (maybe not enough) but Panarin doesn't want to stay and this deal I think could make CBJ sell.

yeah, I was thinking about that. I had to get rid of cap or the trade wouldn't even go through so yeah. Cap issues... Honestly, the Panarin deal wouldn't go through but might as well try.

Sure i like hayes but heinens value drops game after game so as of right now idk if he can really be the center of any of thosr deals. Be patient let bjork or heinen or donato catch fire and use that value

Yeah... I mean hayes can definitely sign a team friendly deal if we really want him back, hes grew up in the bruins locker room. Panarin deal was there to see how people react to it. Don't think it will go through but might as well.

I like the Hayes deal.

I think Jax might be a pipe dream. I think Backes is a problem on both ends of it.

Kevin Hayes deal I think you hit the nail right on the head. Could see that being a good fit for both teams. 5/5 on that.
Panarin deal, not even close though. Boston would have to start with a young, solid NHLer to get Panarin. My guess is that any deal for him would start with DeBrusk which if I was Boston I'd hang up the phone. Don't see Boston having enough assets to get a deal done for Panarin

Oof. If you're taking panarin AND giving us backes with 1.5 retained... I think you gotta make the return Heinen, Donato, Carlo and a first, and a mid round 2020 pick.

Backes is a horrible contract even with 1.5 retained. Honestly... I dont think we touch it with a 10 foot pole. That's 4.5m for an awful player for 3 years.

meh... I honestly don't really think Backes is that bad. A change of scenario can definitely change him, except no one wants him. Last year he had a 0.64 point/game ratio, and honestly that is very good for a 3rd/4th liner. He just has an insane cap and NMC. You are overwaying value of Panarin, who isn't going to sign in, we all know that. You are asking for 2 top 6 F, a top 4 D, a first, and a 3/4 rounder to get rid of Backes and Panarin. 1, Backes is easy to get rid of for a 2nd, senyshyn with 1M retained. We can't do that because Backes has NMC. Panarin is worth Heinen and a few below avg prospects and a first. Just saying, both Panarin and bob will probably not sign, so better get rid of them for even low value instead allowing them to walk.

cjb hangs up the phone. 1st they aren't going to cough up Panarin unless they are out the playoffs. Second, there is no way in hell they are taking in a cap dump like backes if they unload Panarin.

First of all, no, it isnt smart to trade them especially when the return will be "heinen and a couple below average prospects and a first." We are the best metro team right now and have a bad reputation. We need to make a name for ourselves and push for the cup. Trading bread and Bob would get our front office under major scrutiny.

Also, dont act like Backes is that good. Hes a 34 year old with THREE years left who is playing like a 13F. Hes horrible. 4.5 million is over 3 million more than what hes worth. Nobody is taking that contract from you unless you retain more and throw in some very good picks and prospects. We are already having a few young guys that are gonna be getting paid in the next few years, taking in Backes contract would be the dumbest move possible.

If you're asking for an absolutely elite winger, and for us to take one of the worst contracts in the league (even at 4.5) you're gonna have to give up a ton more. Heinen, a first, third and Cehlarik might give you just panarin. To take backes contract, one of donato/bjork/vaakainen has to be coming back, plus another pick (probably 2019 second) and a high level prospect. You're WAY undervaluing bread, even as a rental, and way overvaluing backes.

I wouldnt actually be surprised if we ended up tanking, trading bread, and your gm overpays for him to try to win one last cup while Rask, Chara, Bergeron, and Krejci are still good

Yeah. If you split this into two separate trades, then Heinen, Cehlarik, A first and third might be worth panarin if we (cbj) end up tanking, but many other competing teams would be willing to give up that value or even more at the deadline.

But if we are taking Backes (even at 4.5m) I'm guessing CBJ demands at least one of donato/bjork, 2019 second and 2020 second, a top level prospect and a average prospect. Cap dumps are hard as hell to get rid of
