Ducks have more issues with the cap than the Leafs. Seem like an overpayment for the Leafs. Gee if Nylander is an 7m player, the Leafs should get 7m in playing value back. Leafs couldn't offer sheet Lindell since you traded away that 1st rounder. You really want Karlsson for 7 more years?

Valid criticisms, edited the first for a second, if you want Karlsson for the next 4 you have to take him for 7. The ducks will be have Perry on LTIR and would be losing Manson's salary, but yeah as with the Karlsson dream, losing the Zaitsev contract is a pipe dream as well.

Offer sheets can only be 7 year max I think, for the same reason that Tavares could only sign for 7 with the Leafs. Also, a 7 year 6 million per year offer sheet would require 2 first a second and a third for compensation, as of this year though it will change. 7*6=42/5(5is the max it can be spread over for compensation calculations)=8.4 million.

negative 4 stars from me. Where do I start?
1) Anaheim doesn't have the cap room to take on Nylander at $7M and Zaitsev at $4.5M even after sending back Manson and Ritchie. & you want the Leafs to give up the best player in the deal AND a 1st round pick as your description says. No.
2) Zaitsev has actually been good for the Leafs this year. I don't think he'll be a cap dump move like everyone thinks. So if you think the Leafs need a right handed, puck moving defensemen like Karlsson, they already have Zaitsev (No I'm not saying Zaitsev is as good as Karlsson, I'm saying he's already on the roster so you don't need to add anyone for that role). Karlsson is gonna be too expensive. He'll easily sign for at minimum $11M somewhere. Too much for the Leafs situation no matter how good he is and he's actually not the type of dman they need.
3) Matthews will probably be around $12-$12.5 even on a discount so there goes more cap room.
4) Why would the Leafs pay Lindell $6M to be a second pairing dman? Lindell isn't even worth $6M. So why would they give up a 1st and a 3rd for him through an offer sheet? And how could they if you already traded the 1st to Anaheim?
5) Marleau can't go on LTIR if he's not hurt. He'll more likely either be dealt after the Leafs pay his bonus and stay on his new team, or be bought out by that team and sign back in Toronto for cheap so he has his money and can come back for a cup run so that he actually plays on the team and can get his name on the cup like he actually wants (think like Brooks Orpik to Colorado then bought out and signed by Washington for cheap)
and last but not least and certainly the DUMBEST move you've mentioned
6) Robin Lehner on a 3 year deal at $2.1M annually to be a back up... are you nuts?
