Yeah, Edmonton has very little scoring up front and already maintains 5 left-shot defencemen on their active roster right now.

Chiarelli needs to do something, and will do something, but this ain't it chief.

Oilers aren’t going to.

Kovar or Cave will likely get the call from Prov and they will just to try to hang on.

Backes contract limits what they can do. Unless he wants to be a team player and waive his NMC for anyone then it’s unlikely B’s can bring in anyone significant. Not without a high cost.

Krug can play on the right side without problem

He’s never played on the right side so i’m not sure how you can say that.

I like this for EDM. I think it's a little bit of a panic move by BOS. Now would be the time to sell RNH though. He's never played better and the last few games he actually hasn't needed McDavid in order to score points.

thats a terrible move for Boston. Their d core is already beat up and missing their top guys, why would they trade away Krug who's their top guy now with all the injuries and leave their d core to young and unproven guys?

If you're going to sell on Nugent-Hopkins, why not use him to bring in players that fit what the Oilers need? How do you address the further lack of scoring to the Oilers' front end?

Really? 1.5 years of Krug for 2.5 years of Nuge and Oilers have even worse secondary scoring than B’s. Nothing behind McJesus, Drai, Nuge. Their wings are the worst in the league. If anything they should be moving a LD for wing help not the other way around.

Bad for both teams.

at this point the bruins cant move a dman with all the injurys back there. maybe a draft pick for a depth vet player. I cant see this happening now. now 8 weeks from now its anyones game.

I do like this for EDM because their D is really bad and they need a puck moving Dman. Krug can also help Bouchard develop next year while keeping Klef with Larson on the same pairing. EDM would finally have a good defense and legit top 4. EDM does have up front depth issues, but this is where you rely on either A.) Chiarelli to sell away Cap or B.) McDavid...If you truly want to be better than Crosby...he scores 90+ points with (2) mediocre linemates. He's not doing it with Kessell or Malkin. Challenge McDavid to be even better.
