Not really realistic, but mayeb trade all of the bottom 6 (non prospects) and bring up some guys? It gives them experiences, allows the minor leagers to get more ice time. Also Jack hughes...

Martinsen has been playing well and brings checking to the Hawks 4th line they don't have otherwise and he's CHEAP. Trading him for 6th round pick is not smart. Tyler Sikura isn't NHL material either. Paul Bittner can't stay in the AHL lineup and if lucky will one day play 4th line minutes in the NHL, but we already have plenty of those. Trade AA for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and be done with it. Good move on dumping Kunitz but Manning needs to be dumped as a priority.

yeah, I just don't see how it's at all possible right now. IF he gets hurt, hits LTIR, or agrees to be traded then yeah, but right now they just won't (even though they should)

He won't. They will keep him, he's playing pretty good actually, until the new CBA at which time they can negotiate a buyout or the likes.

Dumping Manning is probably necessary, but since he's on IR right now i completely forgot about him.
Martinsen i see your point, but I just did it to make space for rookies. He really wouldn't be the one to go. I will change him for Manning in that deal, maybe get more.

Good changes. Edjsell and Martinensen can swap in and out on the 4th line LW. That will help Edjsell develop and see if he's worth bringing back next season but Marty is someone i hope the Hawks re-sign especially if they can get him for under $900K.

Oups, didn't realize that he had a full NMC.

I was originally thinking a trade along the lines of Phaneuf could maybe be possible.

chicago can't really "rebuild" unless players waive their NMC/NTC.. and a rebuild would mean players like Kane and Toews go too

By rebuild I mean practically, with no trades of NMCs. Simply trade some bottom liners to open up spots and get some AHL guys up there who deserve to play.

Detroit has no need or room for Manning. Also the Arizona 7th they own is a conditional pick which the condition will not be met.

I simply thought that they have a lot of AHLeligible dmen, seemed like they could do it? Also the 7th could be any other, I couldn’t remember which was the conditional
