Leafs say hell no. Oilers literally can't afford it. & to try to be nice a little bit, sure, maybe Vegas takes that. but Blues aren't getting value for Steen in that deal. so its a pity 1/5 stars

Oof that's quite a bit to give up. How about a 1st, a 2nd, Rasmus Sandin, Andreas Johnsson, Calle Rosen, and Jeremy Bracco?

How about no thanks for Pietro to the Leafs and the Leafs find themselves a rental Dmen through trade instead, rather than giving up cheap young assets. You need cheap young players when you blow your salary cap by spending 50 million for 6 players(M n' M. John T., MElander, Reilly and Andersson).

There's no way that leafs deal happens. Maybe kappy, Rosen and a first. But no way they deal 2 promising dmen a top 9 forward and a first for one guy.

I understand where you're coming from as this was mentioned on Sportsnet during intermission, however it is a bad deal for Toronto. Take out Kapanen and Sandin and put Bracco or something of lesser value instead. If Pietrangelo goes, Tarasenko most definitely goes. Rebuild fully or not at all. Also, might as well move ROR as well as he won't want to stick around for another rebuild.

Why don't we just give them Marner and Matthews while we are gutting our team.

Pietanagelo is the new Tanev, Weber, , Doughty. Seems like the Leafs, at the only the Leafs are expected to severely overpay for that magical RHD.

Hall for Larsson must not have been an overpayment

I look at the package Karlsson was moved for and wonder how we don't or can't learn from that.

It's quality or quantity, not both.

That's a good point about Karlsson. Are the Sharks any better with him? Sharks seem to be in win mode this year. Next year they have 24m in three players, Couture, Vlasic and Burns.

He helps but with their window shrinking, they had to do something.
Pietrangelo doesn't fix the Leafs issues. He would help but this deal wouldn't.
