Neither one of those is an A prospect. You are offering 2 B's and a 2nd for Kapanen. That is a joke.
Also, he is considered the principle piece going to CAR in a theoretical Pesce trade. Hell someone from MIN offered Spurgeon with 50%ret for him on here earlier today (sure it is an overpayment, but it shows his value to others atm).

Leafs aren't moving him, and you would need to really pay up to get him.

If you're getting a D like Nurse you'd make it work somehow, moving out Brown or Hyman pretty much makes the money work.

I don't think you know how tight the Leafs are. We already have to move Brown (or Zaitzev if we an get Jensen or something).

~4M to resign Kap 4.5M Zaitev = 8.5M without doing his nurse trade, or with Nurse trade 3.2M for nurse and 1.3M retention is 4.5M total. Not saying that trade happens but the cap space isn't close to even
