Im glad people are starting to show/realize that fleury isnt worth a first rounder. Kunitz only has a couple years left and is a third line player right now, a third might be tough to get for him. Vrbata can still be a useful player and he would have to really want to go to Pitts to sign for that. i think another team would throw big money at him(not something i would do but i could see it happening) A veteran D man to be the 7th/8th might be worth investing in. I think Ward is a big risk given his struggles, i dont think he can regain form. I might look elsewhere for a backup. Murray is young and if he stumbles it would be nice to have someone we can depend on for sure.

yikes, just trying to help and share opinion but i think you actually went backwards with Khudobin. The only UFA's that are decent IMO are Riemer, Johnson and maybe Hutton

At least the Pens have good goaltending in either Fleury or Murray. The only reason to trade Fleury is to have more cap space and the worry about the expansion draft.
The other way for the Pens to go is to trade for a competent goalie (hopefully) and get young cheap assets in return that are near or NHL ready.
Just a thought....here's a trade Fleury for Leafs Bernier at 4.1m for one year and the Pens get Marlie LW Liepsic and RW/LW Josh Leivo. By the summer of 2017, the Pens would be clear of Fleury temporary replacements and have more cap space for another goalie if needed or other needs. Other teams I'm sure could do similar deals with the Pens. May not seem like true value for Fleury but it isn't taking back money either.

Hard pass on Colborne and Vrbata. Why sign Tom Gilbert when you have Rowney and Bengnstonn now in the fold and could possibly resign Lovejoy and/or Schultz? Why exactly is MTL interested in Kunitz? Why would Kunitz waive his NTC to go there?

Wild might say yes, just so GMCF gets to do something between #15OA and the 4th round.
