Not you again, Montreal are not trading Lehkonen for Burakovsky 1 one 1, you are not getting Tatar throwing a 2rd pick lol

Dude, why would the Habs take that. Tatar has played really well for them. None of those pieces move the needle for them. Please stop with the ridiculous trades on here man.

Thanks for your feedback. A Montreal poster wanted to trade Tatar and picks for Nichushkin. I talked him up to this in the comments.

I mean, Tatar maxes out at 20 even strength goals a year, so far. Burakovsky only gets 17, even when nobody breaks his arm with a stick, so I can see why you'd be really offended. smile

Here's the same trade, in a Montreal fan post, though: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/202658&post_id=747985

So maybe stop with the ridiculous gatekeeping, if you don't have time to read what other teams' fans are asking for?

DET wants something of value for Jensen, probably a 2nd rounder, not a 4th and spare parts. Also, just because one MTL fan wanted to trade tatar for something doesnt mean its fair (im not touching on the value but that is stupid logic in general)

That guy is basically the Montreal version of you. Bring me someone who's legitimately smart that thinks this is a good move for the Habs and then step into my office

The_Architec lol he trade Tatar & a 2rd pick for Nichuskin. He didn't score a goal this year, and you,you think Bura have a super value. Hudon vs Burakovsky sounds fair ? no its not, but that's we're offering you.

The person who made this post is certainly not a fan of Montreal, because all of those trades are atrocious for the Habs. It does not mean that his post was about the Habs that he is a fan of the team. Here is the proof: I am a habs fan, but if I post with the Oilers and trade Mcdavid vs Drouin that the trade was made from the opinion of a Oilers fan!

That's why you should aim for Lehkonen and not Tatar. Stats per game are similar.

So ? Thats the goal only lol

I mean, when they start awarding standings points for corsi,or XGF, or when power play stats stop being so easy to get.... then Burakovsky for Lehkonen is totally back on! smile

So, here's a post about why I think Burakovsky's worth a late 1st. https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1045963

In another thread, I see a Habs fan trying to trade Tatar for a 1st and a 2nd.

Jaskin's got great advanced stats, and might be worth about a 3rd, even though his shots haven't been going in lately. They'll pick up. His XGF is off the charts.

So I think I'm offering 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th for a player that other Habs fans are trying to trade for a 1st and 2nd.

Seems like all anyone knows about Burakovsky is that he had a slow start this year and a couple of new bandwagon Caps fans who just learned what hockey was during last year's playoffs started trying to trade him for junk, and it became a joke. He's worth a top twenty pick.

No one is giving a late first for Burakovsky. Not in any universe. Has as much to do with his play as his QO. It'll scare off anyone.

His value by himself is a 3rd, MAYBE 2nd. That's a stretch.

I don't know if they're as stupid as I am, but here's two more Habs fans that value Tatar at a 1st and a 2nd.

https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/203074&post_id=749371

So the question boils down to whether Burakovsky is worth a late 1st.

I put together a separate thread to point out that he is, once again, worth a late 1st: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/203095&post_id=749382

His Q.O. is two thirds of Drouin's cap hit. His career total is two more goals than Drouin.

If Stamkos and Domi are better than Eller and Johansson, then let's forgive Burakovsky for having slightly fewer assists?

Just out of curiosity, what pick do you think Drouin is worth, today? Because I wouldn't trade Drouin for anything out of the top ten.

Drouin is trending up. Burakovsky is stagnant at best. Point wise, he's been declining.

Drouin is a different player. Drouin is a high end playmaking forward in the top 6. He's young and priced basically right. He would command a 1st and good prospect.l, but who on earth wants to trade a reasonable contract for a player who's probably going to get 65+ points this year? Hell he could be a bargain if he keeps developing.

That Jensen trade is bad for Detroit. The whole trading more bodies creates more value thing is getting real old on this site, and it's not just you, there's plenty of people who do this. Trading a fringe 4th line forward a 4th round pick and two players who almost certainly will never end up in the NHL does nothing for Detroit.
