Ottawa would get much better packages from other teams. Also start with DeBrusk

Yeh giving up your two 1st round misses isn't going to be the best deal. Especially when GMPD seems to add a premium when dealing within division.

NHL Network said Pierre Dorion has set his price at 2 First-Round Picks, and 2 Grade A Prospects for Mark Stone alone. You are probably going to have to think of something else unless you wanna give up 2 of Studnicka/Vaakanainen/DeBrusk and a 2019 First-Round Pick, and a 2020 First-Round Pick. This is shooting themselves in the foot, but they don't know any other way of hockey/

DeBrusk isn't due for a new deal until after next season.

That would not get you Stone alone.

Teams aren't going to trade top line ppg players for B prospects and picks at the end of the first round. I wrote that it could take 2019 1st / Frederic / Donato to get Panarin or Stone and everyone's like "why so much?" The truth was that was probably the lowest realistic amount it would take. To get Stone it's gotta be one of Vaak, Stud or DeBrusk now unless there is no competition. Everyone who makes an offer is going to beat this deal unless they are trying to insult Ottawa on purpose....

He can set his price wherever he wants. He’ll get half that

Then I'm afraid you probably aren't going to get him no matter how much you want him. It's probably one of those things that you are in the same division, and it won't happen.
