I already said in the discription that my trades may not be fair, just put 2 trades on here. Looking for what the Isles would want not a response like that!

I would do that trade! McLeod is going to be really good but the potential of having Wilde and Bouchard on the RHD is really appealing.

What are you gonna to do in the meantime without Larsson?

Tank for another 2 years?

McDavid's gonna be down with that?

I like McLeod. I think he’ll be our 3C within 2 years

You really think Wilde is worth a lot more than a young'ish top-4 RD on a cheap long-term contract ????

..... Because he had a good year in the OHL ..... after being picked in the 2nd round .....

No I think that trade is insufficient because he is a young prospect with a **** tone of upside

You make a really good point but do you really think the Oilers are going to be any good in the next 2 years? We are so screwed cap wise until we get rid of Manning, Sekera and Russel. In 2 years we will have a ton of cap to go after some top wingers.

Oh I do too but what is more important, a 3C or a potential top 4 RHD?

If we get him, then we will not be tanking if we give up Larrson for him! We will still have other defencemen.

The Leafs trade for Muzzin is a fairly good barometer.

Larsson is arguably worth more than Muzzin because he's younger and has more term on his contract (with a similar cap-hit).

The Leafs paid Grundstrom (2016 2nd round pick) + Durzi (2018 2nd round pick) + 2019 1st round pick.

Grundstrom + Durzi both have comparable value to Wilde.

Durzi is a RD that had 49 points in 40 games in his last OHL season (better PPG than Wilde at the same age - but not as tough).
Grundsrom is tough as nails (like Wilde) and had 46 points in his first 64 AHL games (he's already an NHL player at 21).
A late 1st was needed on top of these prospects.

You may not wan't to trade Wilde, which is fine, but he's not getting Larsson in a trade (by himself).

Puljujarvi 1 for 1 deal? Would that be good?
Or we could build something around that?

You're using two different sets of logic.

If Wilde is a potential top 4RD .... than McLeod is a potential 1/2 Center .... even if the slots are filled.

OK .... but you'lll be trading your best RD (by a mile) for nothing .... until Wilde is ready in a couple years .... do competing teams do that kind of stuff?

What are the odd's that Wilde even ends up better than Larsson? Less than 50/50 I'm sure ....

A lot of guys have dominated the OHL without ever making the NHL (GRIFFIN REINHART looked pretty good in the OHL).

Reinhart played in the WHL (not the OHL) with the Oil Kings and he wasn’t nearly as good as Wilde is.

I'm aware .... but it's irrelevant the OHL/WHL are almost identical in terms of talent / difficulty.

Reinhart was drafted 4th Overall (and was a consensus top 5 pick).

That doesn't happen if you're not nearly as good as a 2nd round pick (at that point in your career).

Kinda like the Klefbom trade ngl....

But not really open to trading Beauvillier yet. Our problem rn is offense and depth at the centre position. Maybe Ryan McLeod? I think I personally would prefer a prospect back

That's a tough call. I feel like McLeod has probably has a lower ceiling but a higher floor, while Puljujarvi has massive potential but has shown he may be injury prone and not as effective as advertised. I think I like McLeod more right now, but Puljujarvi might be a good add too. Not really sure.

Isles pretty much win every trade they make with Edmonton lol, so we'd probably be well off either way
