Not bad, I am interested to see other reviews of the big trade cause I don’t hate it, but I’m sure some people will as is always the case, as for the others I don’t think it costs that much to move zaitsev, I think someone will take a flyer on him for a 7th and worst case it costs a 2nd or a 3rd, I’d keep Hyman and try to get TVR or similar player for a Pick/Prospect since the team is win now why trade a roster player if you don’t have too, and to make up for the caphit I wouldnt get Zacha rather just get a pick (3rd ish) back for brown

I think your overestimating what you can return from st Louis if you add Schwartz to that trade

I am getting Schwartz at about 75-80% of his value because of his injuries and hasn't had the best of seasons

Personally I dont think st louis would do it, and the 1st rd pick will be a late one so I doesnt add that much value, but leaves toronto in a spot where they dont pick in the first round for 2 years in a row

This is a tweener trade. Ask yourself, is St. Louis rebuilding? If the answer is yes, offer futures for their star players. Are they trying to contend? If yes, offer players for their futures. This is just kind of meant to be a lateral move with a first thrown in their for value. They’re trying to win now. They’ll look at what gives them a better chance to do that, Nylander and Kadri, or parayko and jaden, and decline the trade.

Nylander and Parayko are fairly close in value, Toronto would add a 2nd or 3rd to make it fair. So you're saying that Schwartz and Kyrou are worth Kadri, Dermott, & a 1st? Easy pass.

Hyman isn't being traded. End of story on that one.

Any Zaitsev trade brings back a #6 d-man in return. His value isn't that poor. & that would raise too many eyebrows from the league on cap circumvention so they'd deny it anyways.

I'll respectfully disagree. At least at this stage. In the summer, Parayko for Nylander was close. Since then, Parayko has taken a big step forward and Nylander (for reasons we all know), has fallen well short of expectations. Maybe at some point next season Nylander will be back on course with stats to match, but I can't imagine the Blues would want any part of a Nylander-Parayko based deal.

That being said, I think Kadri > Shwartz and Dermott > Kyrou...and with the addition of the 1st...that gap between Parayko and Nylander is likely bridged.

It'll never happen, but the value isn't that far off now that I look at it.

Blues don't need kadri or dermett. I think it would be a straight swap par for nyl like the Columbus Nashville deal with Jones. Helps both teams

Parayko will be behind Reilly on the Pp and would put up same numbers as in st louis. Nylander would be moved to all top line situation in st louis and numbers have a chance to really go up. If I was st louis do the swap
