Ouffffff. It will be tough to convince Carolina to part with that unless Fox says he isn't signing with them. Necas is very valuable

Other 2 deals doable but not sure on Carolina one. Interesting that Carolina and Tampa could be most logical trade partners on multiple levels. Carolina is a goalie and a few forwards away from really contending. Still want Faulk for Gourde

if you just want to get killorn off the books just trade him for picks. just giving him away for one year of smith seems like a waste. Call Detroit we'll give you a pick for him.

The talk is that Fox will go UFA this summer instead of signing with Carolina.

Why not just sign him in the summer as a UFA?

no it's not. What a bunch of made up fake news.

"If a Player drafted at age 18 or 19 is a bona fide college student at the time of his selection in the Entry Draft, or becomes a bona fide college student prior to the first June 1 following his selection in the Entry Draft, and remains a bona fide college student through the graduation of his college class, his drafting Club shall retain the exclusive right of negotiation for his services through and including the August 15 following the graduation of his college class. The Club need not make a Bona Fide Offer to such Player to retain such rights."

He's only been at harvard for 3 years, which means he's not going anywhere as a UFA this summer.

I misspoke. He will return to Harvard and become a UFA next summer. It doesn't look good for CAR, they might be better off trading him.

Per multiple sources, Harvard junior D Adam Fox will return for senior season, opting not to sign with Carolina Hurricanes. Favors becoming free agent next summer. Great news for Crimson and college hockey as a whole.
