Soooo....a young, 5on5 22 goal scorer; a stud prospect that could become a Kessel, a decent dman, and a possible first isn’t enough??? Lol okay. I’m a Pens fan and can be guilty of being bias with trades, but come on man lol.

This is a real lowball return for Kessel, sure Vatrano had a nice season this year but there's no real indication that he can be a consistent contributor. Tippett is a nice prospect and could become a 20 goal scorer and Pysyk is nothing more than a 6th/7th D.

I'd counter with Huberdeau, Tippett, and a conditional 2nd round pick that can become a first for Kessel straight up. There's no need to move Dominik Simon he's really good with puck possession and is a fine top 9 winger.

Everyone tries to trade Kessel for a lot less than he's worth not understanding that every team would kill to have a 25-30 goal and 90 point player on their team at a $6.8M cap hit.

Kessel is good man. Don’t get me wrong. But us Pens fans have to realize that we have a higher value of him than the rest of the league. He’s starting to become PP dependent for points (granted....he’s REALLY good on the PP) and he’s getting a little older. And he’s just a pain sometimes lol.

lmao thats a terrible return. Vatrano is playing way above his head, and this is his first good year. Tippet is a good prospect. Pysyk is a 3rd pairing defenseman.

a bottom 6/top9 winger who had one decent season, bottom pair dman and a 2nd round pick (which will never become a first) for a consistent 20+ goal 70+ point player? i'm not opposed to moving kessel because some of the things he does is really annoying, especially in the defensive zone or in OT, but the return would have to be something more attractive than that, GMJR would likely ask for Trocheck to start if a deal were to happen between FLA

I agree with you to an extent...this team is already loaded with top 6 quality RW's so why not try and get a little bit of cap flexibility? Trading Kessel along with the idea of wiping their hands of Johnson and Gudbranson would give the team more than enough space to work in a younger forward with similar production in Phil's absence. I like the idea of signing Anders Lee instead of Ferland but that's just me.

Panthers laugh and hang up, they don’t even want him. He has a poor attitude and horrible ethic. There is a reason why Pens fans want him out. The Cats will keep their younger and cheaper talent.

That's a ridiculously asinine trade. Florida isn't moving Huberdeau and Tippett for a 30 year old forward. Be a little realistic.

I'm all for signing Lee. I think that's a great addition. If they could move Hörnqvist and Jugs for him I'd be all for it.

If they sign Panarin they have no interest in Kessel. If they don't. Florida can't wait to pick up the phone and talk about a trade.

Now that they have coach Q, it’s more than likely that Panarin signs with Florida

He could very well go to NY instead. Don't count your chickens before they hatch

Not saying it’s a forgone conclusion but Panarin has stated he’d like to play for coach Q again plus other rumors stating that he and Bob want to play on the same team. I’m not counting anything we all just have to wait until July 1st to see how everything unfolds

Like I said. If Panarin isn't signed there FL would love to have Kessel.
