I feel like that's kind of 3 moves, because who knows who they would have taken. Yes, they would have taken Barzal, but in the second round who the heck knows. They probably would have taken Carlo with their huge need on D.

They had zero need for another LHD, but Chiarelli went and overspent for a... wait for it... LHD! So you're right, they probably wouldv'e taken Carlo. Still would have been better than Reinhart of course.

He is a close second to me. Even with him in the lineup the other 2 guys we could of drafted would of made us way better even with Lucic in the lineup

even IF EDM have drafted Barzal or Aho does not mean they would ahve become any good, just look at what they did to JP and Yakupov and others.... that 6M is HUGE as it stop EDM for getting a decent UFA that can play in the NHL unlike Lucic.

Mine is similar to many Oiler fans, not hire Tim Murray as the GM, nor Ted Nolan as HC.
Draisaitl over Reinhart in 2014, Sergachev over Nylander in 2016 (both taken directly after the Murray picks), not trade a first for OTT 3rd string GK, not trade 2 seconds and McNabb for Deslauriers and Fasching, not trade a second for Gorges, trade Stewart and Hodgson at the beginning of the 2014 season when they actually had value and would have helped to team to perform poorly. I feel for the Oiler fans, but who messed up their team the most Peter or Tim, close call IMO.
